Registration Opens: Women’s High Performance Driving Clinic
March 15
This event is being held on September, 27th, 2025. This page is dated for the Registration Open Date.
Women in Motorsports North America (WIMNA) is proud to bring their wide range of resources and expertise to Porsche Club of America, Potomac Region’s 4th Women’s High Performance Driving Clinic at Summit Point Motorsports Park! WIMNA is delighted to announce that Summit Point Motorsports Park has been added as an OFFICIAL TRACK PARTNER for 2025!
HPDC can be the single best day you’ll have in your car, with emphasis on awareness, vehicle dynamics and car control skills in a safely controlled environment and with an instructor in the car with you at all times. This event is for drivers who have zero or little performance driving experience (DE, HPDC, PDX, autocross, competition drag racing, etc.). Sign up early, please, as our HPDCs usually sell out more than a month in advance and have long wait lists.
All drivers must be at least 18 yrs old and have a valid drivers license to participate.
All registered drivers are invited to attend a WIMNA dinner on Saturday, September 27th in Winchester, VA, featuring professional Porsche racers and other influential Porsche females in the motorsports community. This is an event not to be missed!! Event ticket required as a separate purchase. We will also have a room block at the host hotel and information will be sent once your registration is accepted.
Two students sharing one vehicle is not allowed. Each vehicle must have a pre-event safety inspection completed using the PCA Potomac Technical Inspection Form, and pass a brief inspection the morning of the event (brake pad wear, brake lights, and several other items) at the event in order to be allowed on track. Though we would love to have you in a Porsche car, we do allow all other car marques as well. SUVs are not permitted for this event; electric vehicles and hybrids are not permitted per Summit Point Motorsports Park rules.
Reminders: PCA Potomac is also a social club, and new participants are welcomed and appreciated by the entire DE community. We can’t wait to show you how much fun you can have in your car!
As always, it’s not just the cars, it’s the people! PCA POTOMAC Drivers Education is 100% fueled by volunteers! Every event of our season is organized, managed, scheduled and instructed by volunteers who are passionate about this sport. Our goal is to exceed expectations and make sure everyone has a safe and fun weekend. We encourage you not only to participate, but also to volunteer/donate to help continue fueling the passion.
PLEASE NOTE: Firearms are not allowed during track events. No alcohol or recreational drugs while cars are on track. (Our lawyers made us write that!)
Driver Registration Fee: $449 Sunday, September 28th
Dinner Ticket: $75 pp – Drivers and their guests are invited for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in the room with some of most influential females in the motorsports community! Saturday, September 27th

- You do not need to be a PCA member to participate.
- Registration closes a week prior to the event (late registrations are risky due to capacity).
- You may notice your event status is yellow / “New” – until it becomes green / “Confirmed”, you only have a place in line not an actual slot in the event. (Or if you see “Waitlist”…keep your fingers crossed for an opening!) We will contact you again via email prior to the event to confirm acceptance.
- IF YOU CAN’T PARTICIPATE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CANCEL ACCORDING TO OUR CANCELLATION POLICY.
- Event waivers will be sent electronically for your processing and are required for all drivers, volunteers and guests.
PASSING SIGNALS
PCA Potomac will use vehicle turn indicator signals for passing signals during our Driver’s Education events. A right turn signal indicates that the pass shall be taken on the right side of the car being passed; and a left turn signal indicates that the pass shall be taken on the left side of the car being passed. A separate signal is required for each car given a pass. To indicate multiple cars passing, the turn signal must be turned on and off for each car. In the event that a car does not have working turn signals, the driver will use hand signals with windows down to indicate passing.
CLOTHING
- Full coverage rubber-soled shoes, long sleeved and legged clothing, and socks required. Natural-fiber clothing highly recommended. Drivers’ suits, gloves, shoes and neck brace made of fire-resistant materials recommended but not required.
- A helmet is required. A limited quantity of helmets is available to rent from PCA Potomac and may be ordered during this registration process. Potomac’s HPDE Sponsor, OG RACING, also has helmets available for renting. Please see www.ogracing.com
