Potomac Speed-Limit-Sign Rally with Potomac PCA
August 3 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Join us as we host the Speed Limit Sign Rally on Saturday, August 3rd. This rally was developed by Emely Winnert, the PCA-Potomac Region’s Rally Master. While the route provides a fabulous driving experience, it also tests you and your navigator’s powers of observation.
This rally starts in Cockesyville, MD, and winds its way through Baltimore County, ending with a well-deserved meal and drink at Inverness Brewery.
So, what’s the gimmick? Easy.
All you and your navigator must do is spot the various speed limit signs along the route. You will add the numbers on some of the signs and subtract the numbers from others. There will be two classes, one for vehicles with two occupants, and another for families, with trophies for both classes, as well as special surprises. Our destination, Inverness Brewery is very family friendly.
Register for this rally as soon as you can so you can test your team’s skills against the best the Potomac and Chesapeake Regions have to offer.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO A SPEED LIMIT SIGN RALLY?
Since this is a gimmick rally, no special equipment is needed, just a clipboard and some pens. Most importantly, the driver and navigator need a positive attitude, and good powers of observation. Basic math skills will also be helpful.
Past that? A desire to have some fun.
RALLY CLASSES
This rally will have two different classes for participants to choose from. One class will be the Traditional class, which mandates only two people per vehicle (children 5 years old and younger do not count towards the total number of people in the car).
The Family class allows any number of participants in the vehicle. Family class encourages you to bring grandma, grandpa, adult children, your PCA juniors, and even friends interested in joining the club.
PARTICIPATION
By signing up for and joining any of our driving events, registrants acknowledge and assume all the risks in and full responsibility for their participation. PCA waiver forms must be completed and signed by all, online or on paper. Note that planned events are subject to change, for weather-related or other reasons.
