As a member of the PCA Chesapeake Region\, we have all kinds of events to help you enjoy the club and your Porsche.  As a new or recently new member\, it would be great if you could join us at our upcoming New Member Meeting on Saturday\, May 23rd. \nYou’ll get a chance to meet the officers and hear from and talk to Chesapeake’s many different Event Chairs and find out about all the activities that are being planned for the year. You’ll also get a swag bag full of Chesapeake goodies and participate in the raffles for additional door prizes. DESCRIPTION:Tour Lead\, Sweep\, and Development Academy \nPCA-CHS 2026 Tour & Rally Event No. 1 – Saturday\, March 28th  \nDo you have a great idea for a tour\, but weren’t sure how to create the route and plan your tour? Are you interested in leading a tour group\, but aren’t sure how to do it? Do you want to improve your skills in leading and sweeping tours and in planning tours? \nTo help you achieve these goals\, Porsche Silver Spring will host the tour academy in their beautiful facility. The morning will start with a continental breakfast followed by several classes focused on leading and sweeping tours\, using the radio and the Scenic app\, and how to plan a great tour. \nWe will then break into smaller groups where participants will get a chance to lead and sweep a group of their own during a practice tour. We will end the academy at Restaurant 198 in Burtonsville\, MD\, where we will enjoy lunch\, finishing off the academy with a brief award ceremony. \nYour registration fee of $10 per adult includes both the continental breakfast\, as well as your lunch. \nGATHERING PLACE and SCHEDULE  \n\nWhere: Porsche Silver Spring\nWhen: Saturday\, March 28th\nGathering time: 8:30 am\nClasses start: 9:00 am\nPractice tour start: 12:00 pm\nDistance and driving time: Approximately 40 miles/60 minutes\nAwards ceremony: Approximately 1:30 pm.\nLunch at Restaurant 198: Immediately after the awards ceremony.\n\nPARTICIPATION  \n By signing up for and joining any of our driving events\, registrants acknowledge and assume all the risks in and full responsibility for their participation. PCA waiver forms must be completed and signed by all\, online or on paper. Note that planned events are subject to change\, for weather-related or other reasons. \nREGISTRATION \n\nLog on to your account at MotorsportReg.com and sign up before 1:00 pm on March 25th.\n$10 registration fee for each adult. Maximum fee $20 per car. No fee for minors (17 and younger).\nMotorsportReg charges a $2 service fee per registration (not for every person).\nClass materials\, route instructions\, and other documents will be sent to confirmed registrants via email by 6:00 pm on March 27th.\nDrivers must be adult PCA members with a valid driver’s license. Navigators will be needed for the practice tour and must be 13 or older.
