Our first Tech Event of the year will happen at
Come warm yourself up in Winter with the heat of a welding arc, some brain cell stimulation and the strengthening of your hand to eye co-ordination.
We’ll focus on the theory and the practice of the Gas Metal Arc, which is also referred to as MIG, and Gas Tungsten Arc, which is also referred to as TIG, welding processes. After a classroom lecture on each process you will move into the welding lab for hands on practice of each process. Everyone is guaranteed plenty of hands-on time as there will be twenty-two welding booths available to us. This class is a distillation of Earlbeck Gases & Technologies standard Fundamentals of Welding program.
That program runs for thirty-six hours.
YOUR
should you accept it,
will be to learn and master in four hours what others do in thirty-six hours.
To up the bar a little more, the PCA class will feature a lecture on the welding of the alloys that we find in our cars. Those alloys include steel, chrome moly, magnesium, aluminum and cast iron.
This is the third time that Tech has run this event. The two previous times were sold out as it is limited to twenty students.
