SUMMARY:Severn Run to The Old Stein Inn Tour
DESCRIPTION:For our penultimate tour of the year\, guest Tour Master and Chesapeake Web Master Mark Richburg has created an all-new tour covering some of his favorite roads in Anne Arundle County. We will gather at a local coffee shop for a pre-tour Cars and Coffee. Then\, our tour begins in the serene Severn Run area of Maryland\, winding gently along roads flanked by lush forests and glimpses of the Severn River tributaries. Continuing southward\, the route skirts the verdant landscapes of Bacon Ridge Park\, offering passengers sights of tranquil walking trails and diverse wildlife habitats. The drive continues southeast through Davidsonville\, known for its sprawling farms\, historic estates\, and picturesque rural beauty. Travelers enjoy scenes of rolling pastures\, graceful horses\, and old barns that evoke Maryland’s agricultural heritage. The tour concludes at the historic Old Stein Inn in Edgewater\, a beloved German restaurant nestled among mature trees\, providing a cozy\, authentic dining experience with hearty cuisine and warm hospitality – a perfect ending to the scenic Maryland drive. \nOur destination will be the Old Stein Inn\, a perennial favorite location. Last year our region and its members sponsored over 200 backpacks! Lets make it 250 this year! The Chesapeake Region is kicking off the fundraiser by sponsoring 40 backpacks! \nMt. Washington Pediatric Hospital will be a recipient of the toys and other suitable donations.  A list of age-appropriate and acceptable items can be found at https://www.mwph.org/giving/ways/wish-list \nThen on Saturday\, December 6th\, with thanks to our good friends at Porsche Hunt Valley\, we will meet at their showroom to assemble the backpacks and bring our gifts of new\, unwrapped toys for the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital Wish List donation. \nAfterwards we will be treated to a driving Tour through the back roads of Baltimore County followed by lunch at the StoneBridge Grille in Parkton. Lunch seating will be reserved for the first 40 people who register for the lunch segment. Anyone after that will be put on the waiting list and may not be guaranteed seating with the group. Everyone pays their own way at lunch. \nAbout Linda’s Legacy \n$25 sponsors one backpack filled with warm clothing and other necessities to people in need in our community in a responsible and respectful manner. \nLinda’s Legacy is a recognized 501(c)(3) charity. For more information\, and to make a donation to help us towards our goal of sponsoring 250 backpacks please visit their website at https://www.homelessdrive.org/ When making a donation\, please be sure to select “Porsche Club” from the organizational drop-down list! \nAbout Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital Wish List Toy Drive \nPlease bring a new\, unwrapped toy for the Kindertime toy drive \nKindertime is a toy drive that collects toys and distributes them to sick and less fortunate children around the local Baltimore area. Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital will be a recipient of the toys and other suitable donations. \nMore than 8\,500 children come through Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital’s (MWPH) doors each year and receive family-focused\, coordinated care. And for over 100 years\, MWPH has been able to provide the high quality care that our families deserve\, regardless of their ability to pay\, because of your support. \nYour gift to MWPH is an investment in the future and well-being of children who come to us to heal and grow. \nMt. Washington Pediatric Hospital welcomes donations of new toys\, arts and crafts supplies\, and video games that will provide entertainment and comfort to their young patients. Visit their website at https://www.mwph.org/giving/ways/wish-list \nAbout the Tour & Lunch \nThe drivers’ meeting will begin at 10:15\, and the first group of cars will be launched by 10:30. The tour route will be about 55 miles long and will take about 90 minutes to drive.
