Super Slot Car Night and Chili Cook off!!
Super Slot Car Night 2020 promises to be more exciting than ever. One of our Region’s winter family traditions has a new location and promises to be fun for the entire family. A fixture on our winter calendar for the young and young-at-heart alike for over 30 years, this family event is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon from 3 PM – 6 PM, February 15th at the Perry Hall Family Y Center at 4375 Ebenezer Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236
This year we’ve coordinated with the club calendar and avoided conflicts with national PCA meetings. What does this mean to you? The competition is stiffer. Long time racing stalwarts in our Super Slot Car Night will register quickly and will be there to take on all challengers. Our club slot car track is now broken in and promises to be faster and smoother than ever.
The Slot Car Chair has designed the “Chesapeake Spa Circuit” configuration that will showcase a unique feature never seen before in the history of our slot car event. You do not want to miss it! There will also be a great kid’s practice track setup to keep everyone entertained and warmed up for the big races.
Not to be missed will be some of the tastiest chili you’ve ever had. Perhaps greater bragging rights will go to the winner of our Chili Cook-off. Bring a pot of your best chili and taste the competitions for a grand tasting event.
Minta Miller has done phenomenal work with the PCA Juniors program and has goodie bags for our youth, so make sure to bring your kids and grandkids. And yes, your Teenagers will love this event.
A great venue for bench racers, slot car racers, and kids who are about ready to drive their parents crazy, the evening is a family’s night out in the middle of the winter. Our track is 1:32d scale, so be prepared for a lot of action with your miniature Porsches.
For those who have enjoyed this event in the past, dust off your slot cars and bring your kids. For those who have never been, buy a 1:32nd slot car for you and your kids and be prepared for a night of racing and fun as well as participation in our chili cook off! There will be lots of chili, hot dogs, and other food.
The trophies are all set and ready for the class winners to claim. And best of all, YOU DON”T NEED A SLOT CAR TO PARTICIPATE! We have a few extra cars for racing.
